Shaklee Miri - Shaklee CNY Celebration

Shaklee CNY celebration in Miri. Time to get together & re-energize! Free dinner, motivation talks, exiting team games & lots of free gifts.

This is the 1st event organized by Shaklee for year 2014 & it was an honor for Miri city to be chosen as  one of the event location. The spirit was high with the big turn out that night.

Kick start with the welcoming address, sharing of Shaklee company background & its achievements. Got also some CNY celebration health tips presented by Shaklee' Nutritionist. Of course they were lucky draws giving away attractive Shaklee products.

I think the thing captured us that night was how Shaklee Malaysia had grew for the past years; 800% growth! Wow, that is a record. And that is the same number for Shaklee growth in East Malaysia. Ironically despite the 800% growth for East Malaysia, personally I see they are lots of Miri people who had never heard about Shaklee. So there is potential to grow even bigger!

Shaklee had been in the market for 58 years now, and had been in Malaysia for more than 25 years. With such success, no wonder we see more and more people are joining Shaklee to experience the health & wealth opportunities offered by Shaklee.

So that will be our agenda for 2014 - to develop more Shaklee business leaders to enjoy the good health & wealth that Shaklee can offer. I had been in Shaklee for 15 years now and has been enjoying what Shaklee can offer to us. Join our Shaklee Miri team now.

Shaklee Miri - Doing Shaklee Business?

August till November 2013 was a productive & successful period for our Miri team. The group had produced quite a number of successful Shaklee Leaders - Supervisor, Senior Supervisors, Coordinator & Senior Coordinators. 

They were once just an Independent Distributors. But they have desire to success in this business & dream about achieving financial freedom.

From those who started with a 2 digits bonus, some of them had achieved 3, 4 and even 5 figures bonus. In Shaklee everyone can achieve it if you are serious about building your own business.

This year we are looking forward to continue developing more Business Leaders in Miri. We are gearing for another year of success with our team in Miri. To start off year 2014, a small business training was organized with the support from our current business leaders. Mainly to refresh the understanding on the business compensation plan & online business.

Dream Job

Surely when you join the Exploration & Production (Upstream) division, you don't expect to be working onshore! The 1st thing the company will do is to expose you offshore. Either going offshore on roster basis or occasional trips.

Being a Civil Engineering background, I was lucky to be assigned to the Maintenance group. Though Structural will be more relevant for the Civil Engineer for offshore maintenance job, but for me the exposure was more on Project Management skills. The best part was I got to go offshore on roster basis (2 weeks on duty & followed with 2 weeks off-duty).

My work location? On board the maintenance workboat! Earlier on I was shadowing the Company Site Representative (CSR) on board Sin Bee II. The CSR is equivalent to the Resident Engineer for the normal Civil construction sites. The CSR is the overall person-incharge on board the workboat for the overall safety, work quality, on schedule & within budget execution. Overlooking the on-going maintenance project while bridging between the Construction & Operation teams.

6 months/ trips shadowing the CSR when suddenly I was called to take up the full responsibility as CSR (of course after I passed the assessment to be one). The reason was due to one of the CSR was undergoing his medical situation. That time I realized the important of staying fit to be able to work offshore.

The responsibilities and expectation at site and the office were high. The challenges faced, managing the people, the logistic, the safety was great. Plus the rough weather that we had to go through, the rolling, sea-sick, etc. For me was rewarding. Why? Because being on 2 weeks roster entitled me for the "hardship allowance"!

Well money does not come easily. You have to sacrifice to get it, right?  Every body will do the same; sacrifice to get something. Its call "Motivation". My motivation? I was saving my money to get married, hahahaha!
